Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist/Analyst (Level 3)

The Halifax Group has potential upcoming contract opportunities under the category of P.11 Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist/Analyst (Level 3) for one of our Government of Canada clients.

Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability

Tasks:

  1. Provide quality assurance support in the evaluation of Information and Communications Technology strategies, projects, and operations;
  2. Lead development of test plans, test scripts and test data;
  3. Participate in functional and technical design reviews, perform integration/functional and system testing, and verify test results;
  4. Identify and document software defects;
  5. Participate with other project resources to resolve defects;
  6. Perform regression testing of software applications;
  7. Implement automated testing processes;
  8. Ensure that end-to-end testing and test-driven design processes are followed;
  9. Utilize automation tools such as Azure DevOps for testing; and
  10. Fully document all QA activities.

Deliverables:

  1. Draft and final test plans report;
  2. Draft and final test results report;
  3. Defect reports; and
  4. Test-driven-design results report.

Role Requirements:

  • Must have a University Degree or College/CEGEP Diploma related to computer science, information technology, or engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution; and
  • Must have 10 years of experience in the last 15 years performing tasks that are the same or similar to items b, c, and f listed in listed under the “Tasks” heading above.
